Ask Awdz: Dragon gifts

Dear Awdz,

I want to get my dragon friend a gift for his Ancient Rite of Passage, but I don’t have a lot of coin. I also want to make the gift really special and unique. What do you suggest?

Ooh Dragon-loving, that has tons of possibilities! You know dragons love hoard, so you can always give them a piece of that and tell them it represents something special – like a sword to represent each of their long, sharp talons, a bell to represent the melody of their life that has now crescended, a crown since they rule the skies, stuff like that.

If you really really love them and you’re a gifted gnome or gifted a dryad, you can coat yourself with something tasty, let them eat you and then recall – you can’t get much more personal than that. Or you could gather items to make something for them that they’ll never get from anyone else… A fan made of [Giant Chicken Tail Feathers], a blanket you paint with dyes, a strand of [Special Spool] with a [Token of Esteem] on it. Remember, it is useless to try hitting them with [Charm Potion] to make them appreciate your gift, so you need to consider what they actually like and target that. The good news is, since dragons ascending to ancient already have everything they need, you don’t have to get them something useful! :-)

Just let me know if you have any other questions to ‘Ask Awdz‘ and I’ll do my best to answer them :-) and I’ll reply with the best gnome-sense I can.
